What location should we use?
A.For lifestyle photography, I have some favorite locations up my sleeve where you can dip your toes in the sea, enjoy the city landscape or frolic through the jungle.
I'm also always happy to consider locations that are special to you.
What time of day is best to have our session?
A.Studio shoots can be at any time of day.
For outdoor sessions, I prefer to shoot when the light is best. This happens to be near sunrise and sunset. The light is so gorgeous at these times! The light is much more harsh in the middle of the day and isn't all that flattering. So, just trust me on this one. Adjust your schedule just a tad this one time and I promise it will be worth it!
For an in-home shoot, we have much more flexibility, but it's obviously still best to shoot when the light is at it's best.
What should we wear?
A.The most important thing to consider is comfort! Everyone in the photo should be comfortable in what he/she is wearing.
Have a think about the colours you're choosing - do you want the photo to have cool tones or warm tones? It is nice to stay within the same color family but I'm not a huge fan of everyone being totally "matchy-smatchy".
Some pattern with a pop of color can be nice but multiple patterns can come off as too busy.
Feel free to forward your favourite selection to me prior to the shoot.
What should we bring?
A.If your kid has a favorite animal or blanket that you want to be remembered feel free to bring it along! Also, water and a small snack is always a good idea.
When will we get our photos?
A.Allow 2 weeks, and I'll try to get it to you faster than that!
Do I get the digitals?
A.Yes! I am all about you having these for life! You will be given access to an online gallery with the images in high resolution to print as large as your heart longs to. All images are hand edited and galleries generally include about 50 photos. I also offer additional printing options, but the digital files are yours to use as you please!
